All DPS Tanks Healers
Confidence: High Moderate Early โ Rising โ Falling
S Elemental Shaman High confidence
3154 at +20 depth on 8.7% representation. Farseer is the build at 99.1% and posts 3246. Most of the damage still lands inside burst windows, so it looks spectacular on Lust pulls and merely fine off them.
S Arcane Mage Sunfury High confidence
3154 and the most-played DPS in the game at 16.6% โ one in six. Sunfury is 99.2% of parses. Bloodlust plus Arcane Intellect makes it the most contested utility package in the bracket, and the funnel scales with pull size rather than fighting it.
S Outlaw Rogue Good confidence
3110 from just 1.4% of players. Trickster is 99.6% of parses. All three Rogue specs are live this season, which has not been true in a long time โ the 8-target Blade Flurry cap is the only real ceiling.
S Assassination Rogue High confidence
3145 on 2.3% representation โ high output, low play, which is usually where the value is. Deathstalker at 91.7% posts 3231. Priority damage while AoEing is the best profile in the game right now and Assassination has it.
S Arms Warrior High confidence
Top M+ Score in the game at 3168 and reaching +20. Slayer is 99.7% of parses. Near-permanent Sweeping Strikes uptime means every single-target button is also a cleave button, which is the whole reason it sits here โ two- and three-target damage is where it genuinely separates from the field.
S Blood Death Knight Deathbringer High confidence
42.2% of every tank parse in the game โ even more concentrated than Guardian was last season โ scoring 3168 at +20. San'layn is 82.1% of parses and posts 3294. Death Grip plus the self-sufficiency is the whole pitch and it is landing.
S Holy Paladin High confidence
3176 โ the highest M+ Score of any spec in the game this season, any role โ while also being the most-played healer at 31.1%. The build note matters: Lightsmith posts 3419 against Herald of the Sun's 3202, and 78% of Holy Paladins are on Herald.
A+ Devourer Demon Hunter Devourer High confidence
3099 on 4.4% representation, down from its Season 1 perch but still comfortably strong. Leech inside Void Metamorphosis keeps the durability that made it forgiving to pilot, and Chaos Brand still pairs it naturally with the Arcane Mages everywhere this season.
A+ Demonology Warlock High confidence
Puts out 277K โ the highest raw damage of any spec in the bracket โ yet scores 3071, which tells you how much M+ Score weighs things other than the meter. Diabolist is 99.9% of parses. It caught buffs late in August and the meta has not fully reacted yet.
A+ Unholy Death Knight High confidence
3072, a real step down from being the best spec in the game last season. The AoE is untouched and still excellent; the single target is the problem. San'layn at 37.2% posts 3238, well clear of the alternative, so the build choice matters more here than for most.
A+ Feral Druid Good confidence
3092 from only 1.0% of players โ one of the widest score-to-play gaps in the bracket. Druid of the Claw at 87.4% posts 3221. It rewards a physical comp more than most, and most people simply are not looking at it.
A+ Subtlety Rogue High confidence
3079 on 2.7%. Deathstalker at 84.2%. A run of bugfixes made the clone interactions finally work as written, which is most of why it climbed โ the single target is genuinely strong now rather than pad damage.
A+ Retribution Paladin High confidence
3070 on 8.4% representation. Worth knowing before you pick a tree: Herald of the Sun scores 3226 on 48.7% of parses, comfortably ahead of the alternative, and the split is close to even โ a lot of Rets are on the weaker side of it.
A+ Restoration Shaman High confidence
3088 on 30.0% representation, effectively tied with Holy Paladin as the default. Totemic is 97.1% and posts 3198. Still the forgiving pick, still the only healer with a kick.
A Havoc Demon Hunter High confidence
3041, level with Shadow. Still living in Devourer's shadow for the Demon Hunter slot, which is the same story as last season. Leech means survivability is a non-issue.
A Fury Warrior Good confidence
3059 and reaching +20, which is a better result than its reputation this season โ Arms boxes it out socially more than statistically. Slayer at 63.6% posts 3182.
A Balance Druid High confidence
3063 on 4.7%. Elune's Chosen at 96.1%. Great single target with lacklustre priority damage, and it wants the big uncapped pulls โ in low-target dungeons it fades.
A Shadow Priest High confidence
3041 on 3.1%. Took a Psychic Link nerf at the end of July that cost it AoE, and it has been sitting just outside the conversation since. One buff from being back in it.
A Enhancement Shaman High confidence
3060 on 2.0%. Back on Stormbringer at 99.6%. Middling AoE and slightly below-average single target, held up by Skyfury being one of the best buffs in the game.
A Windwalker Monk High confidence
3062 and reaching +20. The build story is the interesting part: Conduit of the Celestials posts 3274, far and away the best Windwalker result, on only 20.1% of parses. Most Windwalkers are leaving a lot on the table.
A Protection Paladin Lightsmith High confidence
3057 and the second-most-played tank at 23.8%. The build gap is the thing to know: Lightsmith posts 3170 on 76.3% of parses while Templar sits at 2980 โ a ~190 point spread, and nearly a quarter of Prot Paladins are on the wrong side of it.
A Guardian Druid High confidence
3065 and reaching +20, but representation collapsed from 40.6% last season to 12.2% as Blood took over. Elune's Chosen at 97.9% posts 3169 โ still a strong tank, just no longer the default.
A Holy Priest Oracle High confidence
3064 on 11.5% โ a dramatic recovery from sitting near the bottom last season. Oracle at 89.7% posts 3167 against Archon's 2954, one of the widest hero-tree gaps in the game, so the build is not optional.
B+ Marksmanship Hunter High confidence
3004. Was blasting for most of the PTR and then took a heavy nerf to the M+ build, which is exactly where it landed. Sentinel is 100% of parses.
B+ Frost Death Knight Good confidence
3017 on 1.3%. Durable to the point of being hard to kill, with solid priority damage while AoEing โ it just cannot match what is above it on raw output.
B+ Brewmaster Monk Shado-pan High confidence
3012, level with Vengeance, on 5.6% โ the least-played tank. Master of Harmony at 71.4% posts 3167 against Shado-Pan's 2960, so the tree choice is worth more than most tank decisions this season.
B+ Vengeance Demon Hunter Annihilator High confidence
3012 on 7.3%. Annihilator is 97% of parses. Chaos Brand and sigil flexibility keep it in groups more than the score does.
B+ Mistweaver Monk High confidence
3035 and reaching +20, but down hard from ruling the role last season, with representation falling from 28.2% to 8.3%. Conduit of the Celestials is 96.3% of parses.
B Survival Hunter Moderate confidence
2971 on 0.7%. Solid AoE and solid single target, which is the whole issue โ nothing here is exceptional, and Marksmanship edges it out.
B Destruction Warlock Good confidence
2958 with a +18 ceiling. Rain of Fire is putting out some of the highest AoE in the game and the single target is finally relevant, so this is a spec with room to climb on a tuning pass.
B Augmentation Evoker Limited data
The hardest fall of the season. It was the top-scoring spec in the game in Season 1; the Wingleader nerfs ended double Duplicates and it now scores 2953 on 0.4% representation โ the least-played spec in the bracket, and the lowest raw damage at 185K.
B Devastation Evoker Good confidence
2976 on 1.8%. Excellent one-to-three target damage; multi-target is where it falls short, and short range remains the structural complaint.
B Affliction Warlock Moderate confidence
2976 with a +17 ceiling, among the shallowest in the bracket. Passable AoE on Seed, anaemic single target. Soul Harvester at 96.3%.
B Fire Mage Limited data
2972, but from 0.3% of players and a +16 ceiling โ the thinnest sample of any spec, so read it very loosely. The real problem is social: you will be expected to play Arcane.
B Beast Mastery Hunter High confidence
2989 while being the fifth-most-played spec at 6.9% โ people bring it for damage that never stops moving, not for the score. Genuinely fine at everything and exceptional at nothing.
B Protection Warrior High confidence
2982, the lowest tank score, despite putting out 142K damage โ second only to Blood among tanks. Mountain Thane is 96.6% of parses. The damage is there; the rest of the package is what holds it back in keys.
B Restoration Druid Wildstalker High confidence
2964 with a +17 ceiling โ still near the bottom of the role, the same story as last season, though the gap has narrowed. Wildstalker at 89.3%.
B Discipline Priest Oracle High confidence
2956 and the shallowest healer ceiling at +17, a real fall from A-tier last season. Oracle at 87% posts 2995. It wants damage patterns it can pre-shield for, and this dungeon pool does not always offer them.
B Preservation Evoker Chronowarden High confidence
2989 with a +18 ceiling. Puts out 62.3K damage, the most of any healer, and Flameshaper is now 93.8% of parses. The setup requirement is still the thing that catches people out.
C Frost Mage Moderate confidence
2791 with a +16 ceiling โ the only spec below 2950, and the largest gap between any two adjacent specs in the bracket sits right above it. Arcane does everything it does and more, and everyone knows it.
