Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Summoned website at summoned.io (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Summoned ("we," "us," or "our"). Your continued use of the Service after any modifications to these Terms constitutes acceptance of those modifications.

2. Description of Service

Summoned is a confidence-based player scoring and reverse group finder for World of Warcraft Mythic+ dungeons and Raid content. The Service:

  • Aggregates publicly available player data from third-party APIs (Raider.IO, Warcraft Logs, and Blizzard Developer APIs)
  • Computes proprietary confidence-based performance scores using our algorithms
  • Provides a reverse group finder that matches players to groups seeking their role, class, and skill profile
  • Offers both a free tier and a paid subscription tier ("Summoned Pro") with enhanced analytical features

The Service is provided for informational and entertainment purposes. Summoned does not guarantee any specific in-game outcomes, group invitations, or player performance.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service, consistent with the minimum age requirement for Battle.net accounts. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase a Summoned Pro subscription or to enter into any paid transaction through the Service. If you are between 13 and 18, you may use the free tier of the Service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

4. Account Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you must authenticate using your Battle.net account via OAuth. By authenticating, you:

  • Authorize Summoned to access your BattleTag, account identifier, and linked character information (name, realm, class, specialization, faction, and level) from Blizzard's API
  • Represent that you are the authorized owner of the Battle.net account used for authentication
  • Agree to maintain the accuracy of your account information
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs through your authenticated session

You may not share, transfer, or sell access to your Summoned account. You must notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

5. Summoned Pro Subscription

5.1 Billing

Summoned Pro is available as a monthly subscription at the price listed on our pricing page (currently $10/month USD). All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Summoned does not store, process, or have access to your payment card numbers.

5.2 Recurring Charges

By subscribing to Summoned Pro, you authorize recurring monthly charges to your payment method on file with Stripe. Your subscription will automatically renew each billing cycle unless cancelled.

5.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your Summoned Pro subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. No further charges will be made after cancellation.

5.4 Refund Policy

No refunds are issued for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-cycle, your Pro access continues through the end of that billing period but no prorated refund will be provided. In exceptional circumstances, refund requests may be considered at our sole discretion by contacting legal@summoned.io.

5.5 What Summoned Pro Includes

Summoned Pro provides access to Summoned's proprietary scoring analysis, advanced matching preferences, priority matching, and other enhanced features. Summoned Pro does not charge for access to raw game data sourced from Blizzard APIs — all Blizzard-sourced character data is available to all users regardless of subscription status.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or scripts to access the Service or extract data from it
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with rate limits, security features, or access controls
  • Impersonate another player, misrepresent your identity, or claim ownership of characters that are not yours
  • Use the Service to promote, advertise, or facilitate real-money trading (RMT), boosting services, or gold selling
  • Harass, abuse, threaten, or direct hate speech at other users through LFG listings, group listings, or any other feature of the Service
  • Post false, misleading, or spam content in listings or communications
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or scoring algorithms of the Service
  • Use the Service in any manner that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service, other accounts, or connected systems
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service or any data obtained from it without express written permission

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Summoned's Property

The Service, including its scoring algorithms, user interface, design, code, derived scoring data, confidence metrics, and all associated intellectual property, is owned by Summoned and protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. The proprietary scoring methodology, weight calculations, and matching algorithms constitute trade secrets of Summoned.

7.2 Game Data

World of Warcraft, Battle.net, and related game data, trademarks, and intellectual property are owned by Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. Raider.IO data is provided by Raider.IO. Warcraft Logs data is provided by Warcraft Logs. Summoned claims no ownership over third-party game data.

7.3 User Content

You retain ownership of content you create on the Service (such as LFG listings, group listings, and player preferences). By posting content, you grant Summoned a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and use that content in connection with operating and improving the Service. You may delete your content at any time, which will terminate this license except where copies have been made by other users or are required for legal compliance.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with and relies upon third-party services, including but not limited to:

  • Blizzard Entertainment / Battle.net — for OAuth authentication and game data
  • Raider.IO — for Mythic+ scores, run history, and raid progression data
  • Warcraft Logs — for combat log parses and performance percentiles
  • Stripe — for payment processing
  • Discord — for community features and bot interactions

Summoned is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of these third-party services. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies. Downtime, API changes, or data inaccuracies from third-party services may affect the functionality of Summoned, and we shall not be liable for such disruptions.

9. Third-Party Data Attribution

Game data displayed on Summoned is sourced from Blizzard Entertainment's Developer APIs, Raider.IO, and Warcraft Logs. Summoned is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or sponsored by Blizzard Entertainment, Inc., Raider.IO, or Warcraft Logs.

World of Warcraft and Blizzard Entertainment are trademarks or registered trademarks of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. in the United States and other countries. All game content and materials referenced on this site are the property of their respective owners.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

SUMMONED DOES NOT WARRANT THAT: (A) THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE; (B) THE RESULTS OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE; (C) SCORING, GRADES, OR PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENTS WILL REFLECT ACTUAL IN-GAME PERFORMANCE; OR (D) ANY DEFECTS IN THE SERVICE WILL BE CORRECTED.

You acknowledge that player scores, confidence ratings, and performance assessments are based on statistical analysis of available data and are inherently approximate. They should not be relied upon as the sole basis for in-game decisions.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SUMMONED AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL SUMMONED'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO SUMMONED IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Summoned, its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any content you submit to the Service.

13. Termination

Summoned may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or is otherwise objectionable. Grounds for termination include, but are not limited to:

  • Violation of the User Conduct provisions of these Terms
  • Abuse of the Service, including circumvention of rate limits or automated access
  • Fraudulent activity, including payment fraud
  • Impersonation of other players or misrepresentation of identity

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Certain data may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention and legal compliance).

14. Modifications to Terms

Summoned reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will indicate the date of the latest revision at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the Service (such as a banner notification) or via email to registered users.

Your continued use of the Service after any modifications to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

16. Dispute Resolution

16.1 Binding Arbitration

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") in accordance with its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall take place in the State of Delaware or, at your election, may be conducted remotely via videoconference or telephone.

16.2 Class Action Waiver

YOU AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Summoned.

16.3 Exceptions

Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement or misappropriation of intellectual property rights.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its original intent.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Summoned with respect to the Service and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications, proposals, and agreements, whether oral or written.
